# Function: buildSidebar()

function buildSidebar(
   entries, 
   baseHref?, 
   groups?
): SidebarItem[];
```

Build the sidebar tree (Overview, then a group per `@group` or kind). Grouping and order follow
[groupEntries](groupEntries.md); pass `groups` for an explicit label order.

## Parameters

### baseHref?

`string` = `"/"`

### groups?

readonly `string`\[]

## Returns
